Macht und Müdigkeit: Eine überfällige Kritik unserer Politik der Selbstausbeutung
Antje Kapik & Anna Maas
Ways out of collective exhaustion
18-hour days, constant availability, no time for family or her own health: For ten years, this was Antje Kapek's daily routine as a politician - until she had enough. The price was too high. A large part of the population also suffers from exhaustion and demands more time for self-care. But how are completely overtired politicians, who themselves have no time for quality of life, supposed to create better conditions for everyone? Exhausted governments don't make good decisions - and that affects us all, Kapek warns. She cleverly draws connections between political performance thinking, rigid power structures and social ills.
A clear no to self-exploitation and a strong plea to break new ground socially.
"All people know exhaustion. Antje Kapek not only puts her finger on the wound - she also shows ways out of the crisis." Lisa Paus, Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, Alliance 90/The Greens
